In loving memory of my father who passed away on this day July 17, 2006. Every night in my prayers I ask God to tell dad, "mom and I love him and we miss him very much". Our hearts still ache when we think of that July day. I love you dad. When it's my time to pass, I hope you are the one that opens up the gates for me.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can imagine hwo hard it is to go on without your Dad. Coincidentally, I lost my brother on the same day, only 15 years ago. He was only 25.
I lost my Mom 2 days after Christmas 2007, and we just found out that my Dad doesn't have much longer to live.
Life sure isn't fair, is it? Sending you a cyber hug, and one for your Mom as well.
I lost my dad in 2006, also, as a result of cancer. I am sorry for your loss as I can understand what you and your mom must be going through.
What a sweet sweet post Lisa!
Hugs!

Lisa, I'm sorry for your loss. It's sad to lose your dad, mine's been gone 14 years...and my younger sister's been gone 8 years. It's NEVER easy! But...the Lord has gotten me through.
Thanks for your visit tonite and your comment on my drop-leaf table and the Rose chair...and everything else! LOL!!
On your next visit...check out our upcoming Tea Party...and other events.
~Blessings,

Oh boy, this just gave me goose bumps all over! What a precious post in loving memory of your father. I just have a feeling that he is looking down upon you and beaming with JOY that you love him so much. What a wonderful wish for him to open those marvelous welcoming gates to the place that we will call home someday.
Blessings to you and yours,
Becky
What a great tribute to your dad. I'm so sorry about your loss. My husband's dad passed away in 2004, a month after our 4 year old was born. It definitely stinks! We miss him very much.
On a much light note...Thank you so much for you nice comments on my blog! Yes, paint can transform the ugliest things! My cabinets were a great example! I wish we had the $ for new cabinets but had to use the second best thing! Have a great rest of the weekend!
What a wonderful tribute to your Dad and I am so sorry for your loss. Drop by my blog I have an award for you.
So sorry for your loss, Lisa. I know how much it hurts. My dad and I were estranged for many years, but when he passed away several years ago, it still hurt tremendously. Hugs to you.
Oh, honey. That was a hot and terrible day I remember, too. Much love always.
