Oh the Heat!

I started to watch John and Kate Plus 8 tonight. Why? I hate that show. Guess it's like a good car wreck, I just wanted to see. Then I got mad at myself for helping give this family good ratings so I went for a walk instead. Walking across the dam is about one mile from a particular point A to particular point B. The heat was radiating, the lake was beautiful and the music was hot. I think I could've made a couple of more trips. This one walk reminded me of why I absolutely love summer.

Once I got into my car to head home, I took the long route just to listen to the radio. I find myself taking the longer routes lately since I have XM Radio for free (temporarily). Sincerely, I wish I could buy one for the house. It's need like a new hole the head.

After I got home I got to see the ending to John and Kate. Maybe I'm relishing in the fact that's what people get for making money off their children, but that's really not fair. Those kids didn't get to choose their parents. But dear Lord, please help Kate not be so ignorant. I have a feeling she'll be in the December issue of Playboy. Oh, the heat...

Our A/C quit working yesterday. The fixitman said there's a leak. An unlikely leak since the unit is so new. He didn't have time to work on it today, but thawed it out and recharged it. Not sure how this will be tomorrow. It better get fixed. I can stand the heat if I want, but if I don't want, oh, watch out...

I used to watch Jon & Kate Plus 8 ALL the time. I started back when the show first started, but Like you, I'm finding that now, I wish it would just go away. Now, it's more like, Jon & Kate Plus Hate. Yes, I'm guilty of watching tonight, but was already expecting what the big change was going to be. They filed for divorce today. Next Monday night, I think I am going to go for a ride with you. Your car or mine*? TURN UP THE RADIO*! LOL* _Ashley*

I went to bed before the ending. I suspected it would be divorce. I've never even watched one episode of the show.

From what I saw last night, if the parents had made their Marriage First priority instead of the "kids"... this wouldn't be happening. They are both Codependant and fulfilling this need through the children.

I thought it would be a divorce and then I thought, hey, this is TV, she's probably pregnant again. I was wrong.

Glad to hear you took a walk!!

I've never watched the show even once... I saw Jon and Kate interviewed on a talk show a few years back and even then knew from the way they spoke to one another that the marriage was headed for the dumpster.

Once the show goes bye bye, Kate will need an income to support all those kids so if it takes a spread in Playboy to make that kind of money then so be it.

I find all reality shows pretty lame.

I never watched Jon & Kate Plus 8 and am now happy I chose not to. What a mess!!

We have dental check ups in the morning, early. We were going to leave for the lake after that. Then we talked ourselves into leaving late tomorrow evening. I think the plan, now, is to leave before daylight Thursday morning, unless something changes. We kept thinking what would happen should the truck decide to quit and we would be stuck out on the highway somewhere, in the middle of the day and 110 heat index. Maybe it will "cool off"...ha. What happened to that cooler than normal summer, for Missouri, we heard about last week!!

It is soooo hot here too! I am starting to wish for rain just so it will cool off a bit! Jon & Kate is such a sad situation....no body really wins especially not the kids.

You know I love ya, but I don't share your feelings on summer! :) It's all too sticky, sweaty and gross for me... This girl hates humidity! Hope you enjoyed your walk though, and that AC of yours gets fixed!!

I'm with you on the Jon & Kate saga. They are profiting from their children in a way which is sickening and disheartning. I feel terrible for those children to be in such a dysfunctional family situation. Reading the headlines is horrible! Hopefully this divorce will be a wonderful thing for all the children involved. Who knows! But those parents need to open up their eyes- that's for sure!!!

I watched the show last night. The crooked houses were cute. Kate's voice annoys me, I used to make fun of Briana's obsession with that family (maybe she likes them, because she can't hear Kate's voice), and I told her that I hoped she wouldn't grow up to be so bitchy towards her husband. Then she bought one of their books, and I read it. Dumb book, but if I gave birth to that many children, I would milk it for every penny.
