Okay, I Admit, I'm Shallow...

See this guy? Jason something another? I watched the Bachelor for the first season or two. And when Trista with the pink twinkie, or whatever, got hitched to the firefighter. I hate to admit it, I watched. Then I got sick of all the bachelor/bachelorette hoopla. The girls acting entirely too goofy and mean made me take a break for several years. Then I heard THIS something another's story. For a brief moment or two, I thought he was quite fetching. He has a story. Girls love stories. True or not...

After last night's show, I wanted to puke. I wanted to poke ink pens in my eyes and scream, "I want to watch golf circa 1974!" Hoping the hubby would come rescue me. Wiling desires of golf tournament reruns would surely catch his attention. Then I remembered, he can't hear too well. So I didn't poke my eyes out and admittedly, I did not turn the channel. It was like a deadly car accident in front of my eyes. Only this accident still contained living gonads.

What is wrong with people these days? I'm not sure if ole Molly will give him a chance or not. Not sure that I really care if she does. Some people get what they want in life. They just need to remember what they wanted exactly. Make sense?

So in the mean time I turn to ITunes searching for one of my favorites, Stevie Ray Vaughn. While listening to good ole Stevie I think about Bradley Cooper. I'm also thinking about calling George Brett and tell him I've given up. Time to throw in the towel. Hasta La Vista Baby. See ya. You're tooooo old for me now. Adios. I've got a new boyfriend I can't stop thinking about. He doesn't know I exist. He's more than just a state line away. I can't stalk him like I tried stalking George when I was in college. He can quote William Butler Yeats. He's got a higher IQ than I do. Did I already say he doesn't know I exist? He's ---just ---dreamy...

))))))))))))))))sigh(((((((((((((((((((

he's---just--- dreamy....

Had I the heaven's embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,

I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

William Butler Yeats
I think this turning 40 stuff has done something to my hormones. Do they have meds for this stuff????

You are too funny! I watched the Bachelor too and like you I wanted to let him have it. I would be a little afraid he might change his mind....AGAIN! Have a great day!

I watched and was so upset. I felt so sorry for Melissa.Don't you know she felt so used while he played games.His poor child didn't know what woman dad would bring home next.

I think Melissa should have kept that ring! I don't care if he did change his mind... not on national TV. I kept waiting for Jerry Springer to come on stage.

Why do we watch this junk?

Let me tell you. I have watched/boycotted/watched/boycotted again the bachelor type series. This time I watched for Stephanie from TX because I loved the jewelry and outfits. I was shocked and kind of disgusted by "poor" Jason out following his heart. Obviously nobody followed their heads or the ratings would have been lower and the girls wouldn't have "fallen in love" with such a goofball.. I dunno. TIme shall tell, but I thought Melissa was a classy thing in the limo after. I liked her best after Stephanie left... as for old flames on TV... what about Sam Eliott and Tom Selleck and Antonio Banderras... my all time favorites... Am I old or what? yeah...

I watched season 1 and possibly 2... it's been so long.... I burned out on the show a very very long time ago... just too much nonesense and it's too contrived for me with the stupid rose ceremonies, ladies falling in love immediately... so phony and stupid... Won't catch me watching it ever, no matter how many ads on TV they have about it....

Lisa, you crack me up! Hey, do you remember when your dreamboat was on Alias? And he played the sidekick rather than the hunky boyfriend? Big casting mistake, huh?

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a cute comment. I'm still giggling over the Twilight comment you made. We won't be going to the Seattle area where Twilight was filmed, we'll be about 300 miles or so inland. But it's still gorgeous!

P.S. I've watched almost all of the Bachelor/Bachelorette seasons with fascination...it's like watching a car wreck. You're grossed out and want to look away but you just can't! LOL

I've never watched The Bachelor! Do you suppose I should? Maybe I'm missing something, sitting with the elderly gentleman, watching NCIS reruns!!!

I am totally with you when it comes to Bradley Cooper! An for whatever it's worth, I had *the* most huge crush on George Brett. It was difficult to love a Royal when I lived in Cardinal country!
