Call Me Weird But

My two cents: In the news everyday is that woman who had the octuplets.(Call me weird but I'm really not a multiple baby fanatic. If mothers and fathers have the where-with-all to care for babies, I'm a fanatic for them. Meaning physically AND financially.) I'm sick of the media giving her coverage. I don't want to look at her and I do not want to hear anymore about those babies. Multiples seem to get a lot of attention lately. The first big set I can recall has tuition already paid for at a Missouri college. They got their house paid for, diapers, a van, you name it they got it. Who are the parents here? Will these kids ever really know their parents. If people have to work in shifts to help care for them I'm not entirely sure the parents will be the parents. Look at the Duggers. Goodie they can financially afford all those children, but aren't their other children really raising them? I have a feeling the woman who recently birthed the octuplets will get her own tv show soon. Why not? At least if they choose to go to college it could be a means to pay for it. I just won't watch that channel...

I agree! That doctor of hers needs to get his license taken away.

That house you took a picture of is so sad! I hope they don't tear it down, but I'll bet they will. I loved hearing about that old house on the hill. Are you going to go see it again??

Don't get me started. The Duggers are wacky, they do let one kid take care of the next but they seem to be able to afford the kids and she's just nuts to always be pregnant. I'm impressed that the children are very well spoken. The new mom is just a nut. They are going to find out one day that the crazy doctor that was responsible for these 8 kids is probably the sperm donor.....I know, but I watch too much Law and Order Criminal Intent....

OOOH man there is sooo much I could say about this one! I certainly hope she does NOT get her own show!!! I feel sorry for the kids though-they deserve better!
Maybe she was a rabbit in another life? LoL! Couldn't resit!

Lisa, I agree. I think she has a screw loose and is simply desperately trying to get attention.

I've heard there's so much backlash about the octuplet story that the channel that might do the show is having second thoughts. (Probably TLC, since they like big families.)
Me, I like the Duggars. They don't seem to have their hands out like other big families, and as far as anything I've read they are debt-free. At least there is a father in the situation!
The Duggar kids seem happy and healthy. Not so sure we'll be able to say the same for all of the 8 newborns. A woman's body was never, ever meant to carry so many at once.
There are just too many questions and weird things about the whole octuplets story. Not the least of which is how she was really able to afford it!

Our DVR is filled with those large family shows. Large families are my younger daughter's thing. Luckily, my husband had a vasectomy before she could ask for more siblings.
