Most people who know me, know my love for music. Not necessarily country music. However, tonight I'm in the mood for just that. The Country Music Awards are on. My family has always enjoyed watching any music award show on tv. (I'll never forget watching Michael Jackson moonwalk for the first time. My dad and I both freaked out!)
Danny, a co-worker, claimed once that Garth Brooks helped country music when it really needed help. I pondered that because I'm not a big Garth fan. I wanted to disagree. But, Danny's right. Garth opened a whole new chapter for country music. It's been on fire ever since. That's a great thing.
As I sit here tonight and watch Carrie Underwood in her many dresses and wonder what it would take to sneak on Kenny Chesney's bus (I do love that bald headed man!), I selected a few of my favorite country songs to play on my playlist. Enjoy them if you like country music. If you don't, kindly turn your sound down.

Ok I have to ask...the commercial said there was a "surprise" guest. May I ask who that was?

I've never been a big fan of Country Music. Most often, I listen to Jazz. J kind of likes some country.
When I was a teen and young adult, friends of my mother had a small country band. They would play music on her back porch, just about every weekend. When I moved to Nashville in the early 60's, they came for a visit and to get a record cut. They took me to the Grand Old Opry. The only time I ever went. It was in the old Ryman Auditorium. Fun memory.
I love music, but have never been a fan of country music. There are exceptions to that rule though. Once in awhile I hear a nice song or two that isn't all about cheating on your wife.hubby, etc. hehehe! Those kinds of songs drive me crazy!
I love all music - including country. Glad you got your fill last night! I like Carrie Underwood, she is talented and very pretty. Nice combo for success.
Glad you liked the deals this week -
Have a great day!

thanks for sharing. wish I knew how to add music. your stuff is great.
How funny! I was just telling my friend that I think of fall and country music together. It just seems like in the fall you listen to country, in the winter you listen to Christmas-the rest of the year are pretty normal though, LOL.
The snowflake is at the dollar tree right now waiting for you! I just got it last week and for only $2 I have a tree topper that I love!
